Our 4th Annual Fundraiser will be held again at Jensen's Corner Bar and Sidestreet Studio on Thursday, April 25th we hope that you will come out and enjoy an evening 5:30-8:30 to see what we have been up to lately. We have partnered with Polk State College and Brookdale Winter Haven on a Community Based Learning project to demonstrate the impact that art has on community. There will be music and food and you will be able to visit the studio space and learn about us and how we might be of service to you or your loved one.
"Be One With One Hundred"
Our first major fundraising campaign in 2016 was a huge success. We set a goal of finding 100 donors to give $100. The event was held at Jensen's Corner Bar in Downtown Winter Haven. All of the food was generously donated. We featured our first video production created by Sidestreet Studio. The video, titled "Steve's Story," featured Steve Wunderlich and it goes into depth about the effects and realities of being diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's disease. This video was later shared at the Florida Gulf Coast Alzheimer's Association's "Think About it Conference".
Our second annual event was held on April 20th, 2017 and featured live music, food, and another film entitled "Embedded Memories" again at Jensen's Corner Bar & Patio which is conveniently located right next to the Sidestreet Studio giving attendees a chance to visit the studio during the event.
We are committed to hosting only one fundraiser each year; please consider a donation. April 2018 we featured our "Mars" Project. The Mars project featured our work with the special need population and the collaboration with Victory Ridge Academy in Lake Wales to produce a play with their students based on the book.
Our organization has been blessed to have asponsorship from the Rockin' on the River Organization In addition The Homer and Annette Thompson Legacy continues to help us to provide opportunities within our community that otherwise would not be possible. Jensen and Skubna Inc. has made it possible for us to have a brick and mortar presence in our downtown, we are able to operate on a sustainable level because of our Sidestreet Supporters.
