1st Saturday of the Month, 11:00 am

This program is designed to provide art opportunities and engagement at the Polk Museum of Art in Lakeland. Program for individuals with varying exceptionalities and special needs in a nurturing, non judgemental museum environment. We discuss pieces of art on exhibit and then go off site to Kelly Recreation located on Imperial Blvd. for hands on art making.

Gallery visits to the Polk Museum can be scheduled for groups such as assisted living or memory care units with Alzheimer's and related dementias can be arranged by contacting us at 863-224-8557

Open Studio
Artists bring their own painting or projects and work independently in a group setting. All artists and mediums welcome. We offer support and critique to each other.
Monday 1:30pm-2:30pm Access Art
Art making for individuals with varying exceptionalities, special needs small groups making art in a social atmosphere.
3rd Tuesdays of the Month: 1:30pm - 2:30pm Access Art & Caregiver Support
Art making program and coloring for Individuals with Alzheimer's disease and related dementias. Caregivers remain on site to participate in a support group opportunity with the Florida Gulf Coast Alzheimer's Association.
Wednesday: 1:30pm - 2:30pm Access Art
Art making and coloring for individuals with Alzheimer's disease and related Dementias.

Thursday: 11:00-12:30 Soul Collage Hospice Chaplain Judy Kahler, leads us on a creative journey using imagery to help us process our emotions. Judy is a trained facilitator for Soul Collage. This process leads us to a dialogue from within and is helpful to those that having experienced loss, grief and trauma.

Thursday: 1:30pm - 2:30pm Fun Drum/Hand Drum
Open for everyone- all inclusive regardless of age or ability; this program is particularly useful for individuals with Alzheimer's and related dementias, varying exceptionalities, special needs. Caregivers are encouraged to participate as well. All instruments are provided. The hand drumming provides relaxation and engagement in a fun non verbal activity.

2nd Saturday: 10am -12pmCoffee and Quill
Writers meet and discuss various topics related to writing and publishing and offer critique and support for each other group. The group is lead by our resident writer: Donna Kelly. This group can benefit writers with little experience as well as more accomplished writers.
